Disneyland and Staying at the Disneyland Hotel
July 16, 2008 – 5:34 amWhat to Expect At The Disneyland Hotel
The Disneyland Hotel is the natural choice for a Disneyland vacation, as the magic continues when you leave the theme park and return to your hotel room for the night.
Guest rooms at the Disneyland Hotel are available as standard rooms, suites, or club rooms. All three types of rooms enjoy the following as standard amenities:
- Non-smoking.
- King-size bed, or two queen-size beds.
- High speed internet access.
- Room services.
- Voicemail on in-room phones.
- Cribs and roll away beds on request.
- Free Disney channel and ESPN on in-room TVs
- Irons, ironing boards and refrigerators.
- Make-up mirrors and safes.
Standard rooms are full of details that refer back to Disneyland stories and characters. Suites are available with one, two, or three bedrooms, to meet every family’s needs.
Club level guests receive extra amenities like priority check-in, Continental breakfast, wine and cheese cocktail hour, nightly turndown service and DVD players with complimentary movies.
Perhaps the best benefit of staying at the Disneyland Hotel when you visit Disneyland is that you can return to the park after visiting your room. Take the kids back to the hotel for an afternoon nap, or eat a meal or two in your room to save money, then go right back to the park as if you’d never left.
Disneyland Hotel restaurants are almost as much fun as the theme park. Visit the Captain’s Galley poolside, the Coffee House for your morning latte, Croc’s Bits ‘n’ Bites in the Never Land Pool area, Goofy’s Kitchen when you’re really hungry, Steakhouse 55, a classic American steakhouse, Hook’s Pointe for mesquite grilled “surf and turf,” the Lost Bar, where you can get a cocktail and the wine cellar, where you can sample California’s finest chardonnays, pinots and other flavorful wines.
Besides the theme park, the Disneyland Hotel offers plenty of recreation for your family. Koi fish ponds, cove pools, a volleyball court and beach, remote-control boats, waterfalls and a fitness center are all experiences for hotel guests.
You can check in when you arrive and avoid long lines; then go to your room anytime after three o’clock p.m. If you get to the hotel before 3:00, just check your luggage at the desk and go to Disneyland for awhile.
Check out by eleven o’clock in the morning. Again, feel free to check your bags with the desk while you enjoy another day at Disneyland before you go back home.
